Parametrica - Simona Croitoru
Nature has always served as inspiration for designers and nowadays, thanks to digital technologies, these can be leveraged in order to produce designs that approach the beauty of natural systems. The carpet's design represents the transposition of a parametric pattern which, as in nature, it gives a regularity but it's also able to generate a wide range of variation. The order and anticipation of the black pattern's algorithm are broken by the white diagonal, in order to give the design a dynamic note.

Simona Croitoru was born in 1991 in Bucharest, Romania. Her passion for drawing and mathematics, especially geometry, determined her to study architecture at Ion Mincu University of Architecture and Urbanism. As a final-year student, Simona is preparing her diploma and she is planning for the future to develop her love for shapes and parametric art also, as a product designer and finds this competition as a big opportunity to begin with.
Simona Croitoru s-a nascut in 1991 in Bucuresti, Romania.
